Filozófia
A jó bor lényege az egyedülálló szőlőtermő dűlőkben rejlik. Szerencsésnek mondhatjuk magunkat, hogy az egri bortermelő vidék legjobb terroirjai közül három a Kovács Nimród Winery tulajdona. Mivel Eger adottságai a világ nagy borvidékei közül leginkább Burgundiához vagy Kalifornia hűvösebb régióihoz hasonlíthatók, olyan fajtákat telepítettünk, melyek itt érzik otthon magukat és így világszínvonalú borokat készíthetünk belőlük. A hűvösebb bortermelő vidékek nemzetközi fajtáin kívül – mint a Chardonnay, a Pinot Noir, a Syrah, a Merlot és a Cabernet Franc –, büszkék vagyunk a hagyományos magyar borainkra, a Furmintra és a Kékfrankosra is.
Szőlőültetvényeinket a fenntartható fejlődés jegyében környezetbarát, a kézi munkára alapozott termesztés-technológiával gondozzuk. Egészséges és örömöt adó szőlőinket évről évre kézzel szüreteljük, hogy tökéletes borok készülhessenek belőlük.
Borászat
A Kovács Nimród Winery Eger történelmi részén, a Verőszala utcai pincesoron található. Már a 18. században százával voltak présházak a városban, éppen olyanok, mint borászatunk hét összefüggő épülete. A présházak közvetlenül a pincék elé épültek, hogy a helyben történő szőlőfeldolgozást lehetővé tegyék. A szőlő fermentálása után a bort a hideg pincékben, hordókban tárolták. A Kovács Nimród Winery a 21. század technológiai vívmányait maximálisan kihasználva és a több száz éves hagyományt követve készíti világszínvonalú borait.

Philosophy
The essence of good wine is the unique vineyards. We are fortunate that three of the best terroirs in the wine-growing region of Eger are owned by Nimród Kovács Winery. Eger is similar to Burgundy or the cooler regions of California, therefore we have planted varieties that feel at home there, and we can produce world-class wines in Eger as well. In addition to the international varieties of the cooler wine producing regions – such as Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Franc – we are also proud of our traditional Hungarian wines, Furmint and Blaufrankisch. We cultivate our vineyards with environmentally friendly, handmade technology for sustainable development. Our grapes are harvested by hand year by year to offer perfect wines.
Winery
Nimród Kovács Winery is located in the historic cellar of Verőszala Street in Eger. Back in the 18th century there were hundreds of cellars in the town, just like the seven connnected buildings of our winery. The wine-press houses were built directly in front of the cellars to allow on-site processing of grapes. After the grape was fermented, the wine was stored in cold cellars and barrels. Nimród Kovács Winery produces world-class wines, making the most of the technological achievements of the 21st century and following hundreds of years of tradition.
