A Grand Tokaj a Tokaj-Hegyalja Egyetem Alapítvány tulajdonában lévő egyik legjelentősebb magyar borászat, amely az UNESCO Világörökség része címet is viselő, történelmi Tokaj-hegyaljai borvidék legnagyobb pincészeteként, a nemzeti borászati tradíció őrzője és fejlesztője. Tevékenysége elsősorban borkészítésre és értékesítésre, valamint szőlőtermelésre és felvásárlásra épül.
A 67 hektáros szőlőterülettel rendelkező pincészet a borvidék kiemelt jelentőségű szereplője: a térség teljes bor termelésének mintegy 35%-át adja. A régió integrátoraként, mintegy 800 hektár termőterületről vásárol fel szőlőt. A Grand Tokaj pincészet új szellemiséget képviselő borai a 2012-ben az Év Bortermelője címet elnyert, 100 pontos Eszenciájáról ismert borász, Áts Károly irányításával készülnek, aki 2013 óta a társaság főborásza.

Grand Tokaj – owned by the Tokaj-Hegyalja University Foundation – is one of the most important Hungarian wineries and as the largest winery in the historic Tokaj-Hegyalja Wine Region, a UNESCO World Heritage site, it fulfills its role as the guardian and developer of the nation’s winemaking traditions. The headquarters of the estate are in Tolcsva and the winery’s operation centers around wine production and sales complemented by growing and purchasing grapes. With over 67 hectares of vineyards, Grand Tokaj is one of the most important players in Tokaj-Hegyalja. As an integrating force in the region, we also purchase grapes from around 800 hectares of vineyards under strict quality controls in cooperation with grape growers stretching back many years. With all this, we’re responsible for 35% of the total production of the region.
Reflecting a new spirit of winemaking at the winery, Grand Tokaj wines today are made under the supervision of Károly Áts, winner of the title of “Winemaker of the Year” in 2012. Also known for his 100-point Esszencia, Mr. Áts has been the company’s chief winemaker since 2013.
