A Kern Bor-és Pezsgőház 2012-ben alakult azzal a céllal, hogy kapcsolatot teremtsen a bortermelés múltja és jövője között, ötvözve a hagyományt a természettel és a technológiával.
Első terroárjainkat Balatonszőlősön (Öreghegy, Penke-dűlő) vásároltuk, majd a többit Tokaj-Hegyalján (Tarcal-Mandulás-dűlő, Bakonyi dűlő) tarcali birtokközponttal. Jelenleg 10 hektáron gazdálkodunk, melyből 4 hektáron új telepítések fejlődnek.
Mindkét borvidéken hagyományos módszerrel (Méthode Traditionnelle) készítjük pezsgőinket. Fő fajtáink Balatonszőlősön a Olaszrizling, a Pinot Gris, a Zenit és a Zweigelt. Tokajban Furmint, Muscat Lunel, Hárslevelű és hagyományos tokaji szőlőfajták, mint a Zéta, Kabar és Kövérszőlő. Széles skálájú fehérbor és buborékos választékkal állunk rendelkezésre, amelyek remek bemutatkozást jelentenek Magyarország két legnagyobb fehérbor termelő területén. Pezsgőink ásványosak, nagyon széles körben érthetőek, elegánsak, kiegyensúlyozott, kellemes savakkal.

Kern Winery was founded in 2012 with the aim of creating a connection between the past and the future of wine production, combining tradition with nature and technology. Our plan is to „revive” traditional, almost forgotten grape varieties using the most modern and gentle procedures. We bought our first areas in Balatonszőlős (Öreghegy, Penke-dűlő), followed by the other plantations in Tokaj-Hegyalja (Tarcal-Mandulás-vineyard, Bakonyi-vineyard) with Tarcal estate center. We currently farm on 10 hectares (5 ha Lake Balaton, 5 ha Tokaj-Hegyalja).
Our wines are spontaneously fermented, we only use contact spray in the vineyard in spring. The bottles contain the best of the fruit, with as little intervention as possible, thus showcasing the diversity and uniqueness of both varieties and areas. In addition to still wines, we make champagne in both wine regions using a traditional method.
Our main varieties in Balatonszőlős are Riesling, Pinot Gris, Zenith and Zweigelt. In Tokaj Furmint, Muscat Lunel, Hárslevelű and traditional Tokaj grape varieties-Zéta, Kabar and Kövérszőlő. We are providing a wide range portfolio of white and rose still-and sparkling wine selections, which are great introduction to two of the greatest white wine production areas in Hungary.
Our products coming from Balatonszőlős are mineral, very widely understandable, elegant with well-balanced and pleasant acids. The well-deserved fame of Tokaj wines is coming from traditional wine making methodology, the unique geographical conditions which are resulting elegant dries, natural very pleasant sweet wines and such specialties as like Aszú and Fordítás.
